About the Veterinarian

Janice L. Baker, DVM, MS, DACVPM

Dr. Baker graduated from the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and completed internship at North Carolina State University from 1999-2000.  Following internship she served in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps on active duty for 10 years, including multiple overseas deployments to combat zones in support of Military Working Dogs.  She continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve.  In addition to over 15 years experience working in emergency practice, Dr. Baker has a Master of Science Degree in Veterinary Forensics from University of Florida, and is a board certified specialist in Veterinary Preventive Medicine. She is known world-wide for her work on occupational hazards of working dogs, including ballistic and heat injury.  With VTG Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, she uses her advanced training and experience to focus on the occupational health of your working or sporting dogs to keep them fit for duty, or enjoying a well-deserved retirement.
